Before proceeding to Repola on his sixth field trip Lönnrot first stayed in Kuhmo and visited some remote villages with the vicars. In Kalliojoki Tuomaalanniemi he unexpectedly met his old friend the talented singer Trohkimainen from Akonlahti and wrote down more of his songs.
