Most of the Kainuu big rapids have been cleared and spoilt so that it is no longer possible to have the same view that appeared before Lönnrot´s eyes in Ristijärvi Iikoski ( Iirapids ). A tar boat was collapsed and tar barrels were floating towards smooth waters.
