What to see

Kyläjärvi Lake
Ponkalahti village is situated on the shore of the long and narrow Kyläjärvi Lake. The cultural milieu of the village has remained unchanged for hundreds of years.

Valkialampi Pond, also known as Vihreälampi or Peililampi. A unique, natural pond. It has a large spring whose water is unsurpassed in clarity.
The Mill
The brook running between Kyläjärvi Lake and Kuittijärvi Lake is the site of the village mill. A rock near the mill is the place where the water god Vetehinen used to appear in the old days - either in the form of a cow or a woman running her fingers through her hair.
