What to see

The Graveyard
For those travelling from Finland, the Tollonjoki Graveyard will be their first taste of Viena culture. The kropnitsas, that is, the little houses built on individual graves, are architecturally unique and clearly depart from the architecture found in other village graveyards.
The graves and the kropnitsas in all Viena graveyards are all positioned in an east-west direction. The cloths attached to the crosses are called "wind cloths". Visitors to the graveyard must remember not to break twigs or even gather berries.

Hukkala
The part of the village on the upper course of the river was never completely abandoned, even though the village was liquidated during the 1970s. Now a number of families live there.
