An EU project has been organised in order to preserve Viena rune-singing and folk music. Kuhmo Music College has put this idea into practice. One goal is to ensure that the traditions of the grandmothers are conveyed to today's youngsters. In the photograph, Pekka Huttu-Hiltunen teaches pupils at Vuokkiniemi School how to play the kantele.
